Jeff graduated from Seattle Central’s Interpreting Training program in 1996 then spent the following two years finishing a degree in English from the University of Washington.
In 2000, Jeff received his CI and CT and in 2007 his NIC-Advanced.
He is from Colorado, but having lived in Seattle since 1991, he considers the northwest home.

Ryan Schlecht is a business transformation leader, Deaf arts professional, and advocate whose career spans finance, technology, theatre, and film. He currently serves as a Process Excellence Manager at Microsoft, leading initiatives that drive operational excellence, process optimization, automation, and AI-enabled transformation across global financial operations. His work focuses on strengthening controls, improving efficiency, and delivering measurable business impact.
Outside of his corporate career, Ryan has been an active member of the Deaf performing arts community for more than two decades as an actor, director, producer, educator, and ASL consultant. His credits include Deaf West Theatre's "Big River," winning the Tony Honor for Excellence in Theatre; Sound Theatre Company's "ASL Midsummer Night's Dream," for which he received a Gregory Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor; Apple TV+'s "Foundation," where he serves as a sign language co-consultant for Troy Kotsur; and the upcoming feature film "Flash Before the Bang," where he serves as Second Unit Director
Ryan has held leadership and board roles with organizations including Deaf Spotlight, Deaf Television Foundation, and the Texas School for the Deaf Foundation. His career reflects a unique combination of business leadership, innovation, accessibility, and community engagement.
